From Our Founder
I’m David, and this is Bailey. Like many guardians, I started with what felt familiar and responsible, trying to make thoughtful choices around food and daily care.
Over time, I began paying closer attention to the connection between nourishment, comfort, and routine. I noticed how much the small, repeated choices mattered. What went into their bowls, what touched their skin and coat, and how the environment around them could shape everyday wellbeing.
I started learning more about ingredients, preparation, structure, and what it meant to support dogs and cats in a way that felt more natural. That process brought clarity. Not just about food, but the energy and care we share with our companions. How much trust lives inside the things we return to every day.
Natty Nootz grew from that understanding. From the beginning, the goal was never to add more for the sake of more. It was to share what had become meaningful in our own routines: thoughtfully sourced nutrition, well-balanced care, and a more intentional approach to what surrounds them.
That is what Bigger Than Treats means to us. It’s about sharing everyday life with them. In the routines, the care, and the moments that matter.

The Hearts Behind Natty Nootz
Natty Nootz began at home, with the dogs and cats who share our everyday lives. They shaped how we think about nourishment, care, and the details that matter over time. These are the companions behind the jars, and the reason every choice is made with intention.
The Liver Lover (Eventually)
Bailey is one of the original reasons Natty Nootz exists. She refused fresh liver on her raw diet, despite needing its nutrients. Freeze-dried organic liver became the solution — now she won’t eat a meal without Natty Nootz on top.
The Sensitive Soul
Bailey’s best friend and the sweetest shadow. Walter struggled with sensitivity and trial-and-error diets until whole foods and Natty Nootz helped bring balance. He’s now confident, calm, and very food motivated.
The Comeback Queen
Once a frequent hospital visitor due to stomach and food issues, Jasmine now thrives on organic whole foods supported by Natty Nootz. She proudly monitors the neighborhood from the window and announces every visitor.

Mango is famously food-obsessed — a true tabby trait. His favorites include raw chicken, tuna, and bison. He’s one of our most honest taste testers and a daily reminder that real food always wins.
